Apple Tree Holiday Hutches offers holiday accommodation/boarding for your small pet in Washington, Tyne & Wear for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice and chinchillas.

Accommodation.

We have spacious, custom made hutches which are suitable for more than one pet, ideal if your pets usually live together - with discounts available for pets sharing a hutch. We will always make sure the hutch size is suitable for the size and number of animals in the accomodation.  The largest size we can make a hutch is 12 feet by 2 feet!  We can also accommodate your pet's own portable cage if preferred.   All outdoor hutches include a covered bedroom area. Rabbits and Guinea pigs boarding at Apple Tree Holiday Hutches will receive a fully supervised daily exercise in an outdoor run, subject to weather conditions.  These runs are on a grassed lawn and have tunnels and toys to keep your pet occupied and exercised.  The runs are moved between occupants to minimise the risks of any illnesses being transferred between animals.  Pets are transported to their runs in a appropriate carrier to prevent accidents.  Even the most placid of pets can be spooked and try to leap out of our arms.  During very hot weather we will ensure that you pet will be kept as cool as possible and not put in the run during the hottest part of the day.

Health and Cleanliness.

We take our cleanliness very seriously, and take every measure to avoid any kind of cross infection between our guests.  All of the boarding hutches are cleaned and disinfected regularly, as are all toys, feeding bowls, water bottles and other items. Bottles and bowls are used only for your animals and are not shared between hutches.  Your pet will not mix with any other animals whilst in our care, except their own hutch mate should they have one.
